Five brands accounted for the top ten best-selling phones in Chile during the first half of the year, and consumers are seeking access to AI.

  • Motorola also leads the pack with four models among the top ten best-sellers, while Apple maintains the iPhone 15 among the favorites.

 

Santiago, July 14, 2025 – The first half of the year is coming to an end, and consumers are beginning to show signs of their preferences when it comes to purchasing a phone. In a competitive market and a demanding public, there are various brands developing technologies that are ready to captivate them.

In its latest report, WOM Dataholics reports that in just six months, people’s preferences are beginning to show a clear trend when looking for a new phone: Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are added to the options of affordability, connectivity, camera, storage, among others.

“According to initial projections, the Chilean market is consolidating with high dynamism during the first half of the year. Customer demands have led brands to focus on complementing traditional differentiating elements with access to Artificial Intelligence (AI). Consumers are paying attention to how these tools are increasingly integrated into the three dimensions of the device, such as each manufacturer’s software and hardware, as well as the operating system of each smartphone. We see that these three verticals have become key at the purchasing level,” said Felipe Ayala, Terminals Manager at WOM.

According to the telecommunications company’s report, during the first half of the year, consumers favored devices across all segments, but focused on mid-range and high-midrange phones.
