Santiago, June 2025 – Increasingly, young people seeking professional internships choose to develop their talent in organisations that provide meaningful experiences for their future careers.
In line with this, in just one year, WOM advanced 25 positions in the Best Internship Experiences (BIE) ranking: moving from 29th place last year to 4th place in 2025, reflecting the positive impact of the Rookies programme.
According to the Best Internship Experiences (BIE) 2025 study — driven by FirstJob — which analysed over 90 companies, the telecommunications company was placed in the top 5 of the 35 Best Companies for Interns in Chile.
“To be recognised as one of the Best Companies for Interns fills us with pride and reaffirms our commitment to developing young talent. Advancing 25 places in one year demonstrates that our Rookies programme allows us to make great strides towards our goal of being the best company to work for in the country,” said WOM’s People Management Manager, Ángeles Sotomayor.
In its latest edition, in addition to offering placements for university students, WOM opened positions for technical career students and those from polytechnic schools who are finishing their training, thereby promoting an inclusive internship.
“From day one, we focus on ensuring the rookies have a meaningful experience by developing their skills. Providing them with new tools, real challenges, and connection to our culture are the pillars that define their experience,” the executive added.
Furthermore, according to WOM’s evaluations, among the most valued aspects by the rookies is that they have access to the same benefits as regular employees, as well as the warm welcome they receive.
This is complemented by opportunities to attend CrossFit classes, receive therapeutic massages, access a mindfulness room, or enjoy recreational spaces with table tennis and foosball tables. And, according to the students themselves, the best part: no dress codes.
