Chillán, August 23, 2025.- The Chillán Sausage Festival has established itself as one of the most important events in the Ñuble Region, attracting thousands of people every year. In this context, in coordination with the Municipality of Chillán, the Trade Association of Sausage and Cured Meat Producers, and WOM, five outstanding entrepreneurs in the field were recognized with the “WOMganiza de Oro” award, with the aim of supporting local producers and strengthening regional entrepreneurship.
In addition to receiving the trophy, winners will have access to a training course in digital marketing and the use of technological tools applied to their businesses. The aim is to strengthen their social media skills, increase their visibility, and boost their sales beyond the event. Each entrepreneur will also benefit from six months of free connectivity, including the provision of five business-specific lines per person.
“We are committed to helping entrepreneurs grow by supporting the development of their businesses through connectivity solutions, training programs, and long-term visibility. Across the country, and on this occasion in Chillán, our goal is to promote sustainable businesses that boost the local economy and have a positive impact on the community,” said Rodrigo Baudrand, Director of New Business at WOM Chile.
As part of the event, which will run until Sunday, the 24th, in Chillán’s Plaza de Armas, the Municipality of Chillán and WOM signed a collaboration agreement to implement a comprehensive plan during the celebration.
In this context, the company provided 15,000 reusable cups to reduce the use of disposable plastics during the three days of celebrations, along with the installation of recycling points to facilitate responsible waste management. Likewise, given the large crowds, WOM reinforced its connectivity service to guarantee a stable network and offer a better experience to those attending the Longaniza Festival.
In addition, to highlight the cecina-making community and local entrepreneurs, the Chillán Longaniza Festival will feature a special episode in the documentary series “Chile, es más WOM que nunca” (Chile is more WOM than ever), a production that showcases history and connects culture and traditions throughout the country.
