October began in the best way for the Canales Digitales team, being recognized, in the framework of the “SEO Day 2024” with the award for “the best optimized site” in the telecommunications industry.
This event, organized by the agency Punto Rojo, is one of the most important in Latin America and recognizes the work done by the digital teams of the main operators in the development and implementation of a strategy to optimize the organic positioning of the brand in different search engines.
To learn more about this award, we talked to Mercedes Azpiroz, Digital Channels Manager at WOM, who tells us about the importance of this achievement and the upcoming challenges:
-Mercedes, what is this recognition about?
– First of all, we are very happy to receive this important award for the first time. This recognition reflects that behind our strategy there is a team that, with professionalism, agility and innovation, has managed to position WOM organically in search engines, which is a tremendous challenge. It is not only about winning, it is about doing things well, it is about working as a team and contributing with the knowledge and experience of each one of us. When challenges are met, it is because there is a team committed to results.
– How does having a good SEO positioning impact WOM’s business?
– In any business model, the SEO strategy impacts mainly at the sales level. In this sense, the recognition motivates us to continue looking for new opportunities, capitalizing on searches both at a generic level, as well as those directly related to the brand.
– What are the qualities of the team that, working together, achieve this kind of recognition?
– The key to this recognition is the sense of teamwork and commitment, as well as being open to new ideas and being able to challenge ourselves every day to deliver better solutions, something that is part of the DNA of all of us who are part of WOM.
I want to emphasize that this achievement is 100% WOM’s, we did not invest in agencies, it is a strategy developed by WOMers. In this context, the merit goes to a whole team, led by Michael Meneses, Toncy Dunlop and Ronald Vyhmeister, who are behind WOM’s SEO strategy.
– After this recognition, what opportunities or challenges do you see?
– While this award shows us that we have a developed muscle, we want to continue strengthening it. The heart of our work lies in ensuring the visualization of our channels in searches, and we will continue working to contribute through our digital strategy to increase our share of sales for all segments.
