Santiago, December 3, 2024.- On the occasion of International Day of Disability, WOM reaffirms its commitment to inclusion and announces the launch of Purple Time, a pilot program aimed at providing specific spaces and hours in its stores and corporate building to offer the best experience for all customers and employees.
Purple Time initially includes a designated time slot in stores from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, during which sensory stimuli will be reduced. Key measures include: dimming and turning off lights, replacing video ads with static images, silencing and/or lowering music volume, prioritizing attention at the disability service module, and ensuring website accessibility for visitors to WOM.cl.
“At WOM, we are committed to inclusion, and the launch of this program confirms that commitment through action. Today marks an important milestone for us, and we will continue working to make all our stores more accessible to provide the best experience for each of our customers”, says Lucas Airaudo, COO of WOM Chile.
Additionally, Bárbara Parejas, Director of Human Value, adds, “At WOM, we work to ensure that every one of our employees has a pleasant work environment. The addition of individual-use rooms will provide our WOMers with disabilities and/or neurodivergent individuals with exclusive spaces to isolate noise and regulate lighting”.
The Purple Time program began at the WOM store located in General Mackenna and includes a plan for expansion to all its stores across Chile.
