2015
WE ARE HERE TO REVOLUTIONIZE THE INDUSTRY
WOM lands in Chile
On July 7, 2015 we arrived to revolutionize the telecommunications industry, under the premise of delivering good service at fair prices.
We launched our 4G network nationwide
In November, we announced our 4G service. The Valparaíso and Metropolitan regions were the first to access the new service, all under the slogan "we have to go faster" and we gave away 100 GB in 4G network to all our customers.
2016
DEMOCRATIZING TELECOMMUNICATIONS
First million customers
Just seven months after launching the company, we reached our first million customers and celebrated our first anniversary in Chile and 12 consecutive months leading in number portability.
I demand what is fair
After the barrier of little competition in the industry, WOM filed a complaint with the National Economic Prosecutor's Office against the competition for abuse of collective dominance and anticompetitive closure of the market to the company. Competitors engaged in practices aimed at delaying and blocking access to their networks, making it impossible for users to have free portability and choice.

In June, we projected our WOM logo on the competitor's tower, considered a historic milestone that caused a great stir in social networks and was praised by experts in the mobile telephony industry.
2017
WE REACHED 3 MILLION CUSTOMERS IN 2 YEARS IN CHILE
We were the first company to offer our customers double gigabytes and unlimited WhatsApp forever.
We promoted the Multiband regulation
In March 2017, the mandatory seal began to govern on all equipment, which informs the compatibility of the cell phone with the different 2G, 3G and 4G technologies.

Portability
In July 2017, WOM reached 67,066 net portabilities, a figure that broke all previous records since the beginning of the system in 2012.
Viral girls 1, 2, 3
We made a video in the purest WOM style and revived the classic "1,2,3" girls, which in one week reached 3.5 million views.

4 MILLION CUSTOMERS IN 3 YEARS OF OPERATIONS!
4G Voice and WiFi Voice
First operator to deploy nationwide 4G and WiFi calling service, and the third nationwide in Latin America*.

Since we entered the chilean market, telco plan prices have dropped by up to 40% and the price per gigabyte has dropped by 95%, benefiting all users, thus injecting more competition!
2019
A LEAP IN INNOVATION
5G Pilots
First company in Latin America to carry out different tests with 5G experience, in a real environment, authorized by Subtel, reaching almost 1 gigabyte of speed for downloads.
In just four years, we reached 5 million customers and achieved 20% of the mobile telephony market (3G+4G).
2020
WE START THEYEAR WITH 6 MILLION CUSTOMERS
National Optical Fiber
We were awarded five of the six macro-zones of the National Optical Fiber project, which includes the deployment of more than 7,000 kilometers of optical fiber to connect 10 regions of Chile, benefiting more than 2.5 million people.

Alliance with Corfo
In March 2020 we inaugurated the first 5G laboratory to support digital entrepreneurship with this technology together with Start-Up Chile, through an agreement with Corfo.
2021
LEVELING THE DIGITAL PLAYING FIELD
5G Tender
The only operator to obtain spectrum in all the auctioned bands. With a total investment of US$150 million, we became the second mobile operator with the most spectrum in the 20 MHz block in the 700 MHz band; 30 MHz in the AWS band; 50 MHz in the 3.5 GHz band and 400 MHz in the 26 GHz band.
WOM Fiber
We began the deployment of our fiber optic network to the home, covering some municipalities in the MR and the V region

First 5G campus in the south of the country
In collaboration with the Universidad de Concepción, we inaugurated the first 5G Campus in the south, which included a Technology Fair and a live concert by the group Los Jaivas, which was transmitted through 5G technology and which experimentally allowed the band to be fragmented without losing its harmony.
2022
THE INDUSTRY'S LARGEST NETWORK DEPLOYMENT COMMITMENT
In March we launched our 5G network nationwide, with a deployment target of 5,000 sites nationwide in two years, more than double the commitment of the competition.
We achieved the largest tower sale agreement in Chile with Phoenix Tower International (PTI), which contemplates the sale of 3,800 towers.
