Santiago, June 2026.- With the goal of decentralizing access to technology and providing digital tools for entrepreneurs, the training course “Boost Your Entrepreneurship with Artificial Intelligence and Digital Sales” officially began this Wednesday in the commune of Puente Alto.
The initiative, led by the company WOM in partnership with the Municipality of Puente Alto, OTIC SOFOFA, and OTEC Adalid, will train nearly 70 local entrepreneurs and micro-business owners. The training program is designed for attendees to learn how to use Generative Artificial Intelligence and various digital platforms to optimize their commercial management, automate daily processes, and improve their business profitability.
During the opening ceremony, held at the Juan Pablo II Hall in Gabriela Park, Doris Maldonado—owner of a plant and composting business and one of the initiative’s beneficiaries—highlighted the importance of the course: “This is not just for my business; it is for myself. It means achieving things that you think you would no longer be able to learn or acquire. At the same time, it also provides a space to showcase my entrepreneurship and my years of hard work.”
Along the same lines, Andrés Ok, COO of WOM, emphasized the social role that connectivity plays in the socioeconomic development of individuals and the country: “As a company, we are convinced that regardless of business size, technology enables scalable operations and growth. Access to knowledge and new tools becomes the cornerstone for concretely boosting new projects.”
The program is particularly relevant as it positions itself as a replicable public-private collaboration model. In this regard, the mayor of the Municipality of Puente Alto, Matías Toledo, stated that “public-private collaboration is fundamental because it helps us bring artificial intelligence closer to our entrepreneurs, allowing them to optimize their work, open new markets, and grow in an increasingly digital environment. It is essential to continue promoting training in new technologies because they advance very fast, and we need our neighbors to remain current and competitive.”
“We are convinced that meaningful training opens doors and contributes to the development of people and their communities. Our goal is for the skills and knowledge acquired to turn into opportunities that foster employability and make their businesses grow,” assured Jorge Garrido, leader of Labor Scholarships at OTIC SOFOFA Capital Humano.
The course combines practical modules on digital marketing, customer automation, and the ethical and commercial use of Artificial Intelligence tools applied to business in real-time, through the use of Generative AI, digital marketing, and online sales platforms.
